Workshop

16 December 2017, Saturday
9:00 – 11:30
Pupille – Kino in der Uni

Within the collaboration between the Department of Theatre, Film and Media Studies of Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main and the Kinothek Asta Nielsen e.V. a workshop is being organized in the framework of the festival for students of the network hessische Film- und Medienakademie (hFMA). During the workshop the composers and musicians who compose and perform the musical accompaniment live during the festival will discuss their approaches and working methods and the reference to Neapolitan songs and popular music. The workshop is presented by Nina Goslar, film editor at ZDF/ARTE and commissioner for the music for two of Notari’s films, together with the Neapolitan musician and musicologist Simona Frasca. The discussion will be enriched by the contributions of guests Lucilla Galeazzi, Dolores Melodia, Enrico Melozzi, Maud Nelissen, Michele Signore, Lorenzo Riessler, Michael Riessler, who will engage in an open discussion with the students and doctoral candidates. We recommend that students interested in participating at the workshop attend the film screenings with live musical accompaniment during the festival.
